Summer Camps

Welcome to Our Camps!

Hello parents and future campers!

Summer camps are our favourite event of the year: this is where we get to meet and discover science with young, curious minds in a supportive and warm environment. Each camp includes one undergraduate science instructor, one BC Teacher, 4-6 high school volunteer mentors and 1 roving UBC staff.

Is your child interested in Physics and/or Astronomy? We want to meet them!

*Please note: we do not have special education staff at our camps. Our classroom supports are high school student volunteers, undergraduate student instructors + one BC Teacher for help with classroom management. If your camper requires special education supports of any kind, we ask that you bring your camper’s supports to camp – they will be most welcome. This includes parents, family members, or support workers participating with your campers during camp.

We look forward to meeting this summer’s cohort of young scientists!

Warmly,

The 2026 Phenomenal Physics team.

Does your child enjoy building things or learning about cool science stuff? Always wonders why and asks about how everything works? Then our Phenomenal Physics Summer Camps are the perfect fit!

Come build planes, learn the physics of sound, launch a rocket or make your own flashlight with your own circuit! We offer camps appropriate for children from Grade 1 to 7; each 25-student camp is led by a certified teacher, an undergraduate student, and 2 high school volunteers.
